About
The EarthHeart project is the vision and creation of Jewels Wingfield since 2012. EarthHeart is located in the middle of the 200,000 acre Forest of Dean, which is just north of Bristol city and 2 hours from London. We are up a 1 mile woodland track and hidden away in th wilds of nature. The property is surrounded 360 degrees with ancient forest and consists of 4 acres of land, various buildings, an eco campsite and facilities for both indoor and land based workshops, course and events. It is not a dedicated public retreat centre and is offered for hire on an occasional basis to teachers and work that is aligned with the vision and values of the EarthHeart values.
There is a truly stunning 30’x30′ indoor Forest temple studio , which was build in 2013 as a dedicated space for gathering in for human evolution and designed on the wheel of life. The space is high spec and using ecological underfloor heating.
There is also a complete set up for workshops and course that are outdoor nature based with an an open barn as an semi indoor group room for rainy weather along with kitchen facilities. Below are the 2 different options available. Please make sure you have fully read everything to see if it is what you need and then do get in touch if you would like info on how to book and date availability.
Forest Temple - Indoor Studio
The Forest Temple indoor studio was created and designed through shamanic journeying and womb divination. It is aligned to the four directions and energetically works with the Celtic wheel of life. It has a ‘Taurus’ in the centre of the space that continually clears the energies. The space is a rustic earthen style building with much attention to detail, beautiful & natural rustic materials and carpentry, with 12 trees as it’s structure and earthen cob walls. It is large and light and airy.

Catering for an event.
We can provide lunches or suppers for your events (depending on the date) Lunches are £10 pp and dinner are £15 pp. Mostly organic, freshly prepared home-made and vegan.

Please note:
There’s no other facilities included in the forest temple hire such as a catering kitchen or residential indoor accommodation. If you wish to make your event residential you have the option between 1st May and the 30th September to hire our beautiful eco-campsite with space for up to 50 people to camp with hot showers and a large Oak barn with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and chill out space with benches, sheepskin rugs and wood burner. See below for more information. This is only available assuming it is not already booked out for the dates you want the forest temple studio and not available during the winter months.
Venue for nature based outdoor land events
Here at EarthHeart deep in the wilds of the forest is a clearing of 4 acres, held by the trees and the elements is the most beautiful infrastructure created for running residential nature based events.
This is a high end creation in a truly stunning setting. The attention to detail and beauty of craftsmanship in the buildings does not go un-noticed and the tending of the land to feel natural and wild. The eco-campsite overlooks a small lake and a solid oak frame greenwood barn. Inside is a beautiful hobbit kitchen and a cosy undercover space for circle gatherings. It has been designed and created with the experience and knowledge of everything that is needed to run outdoor nature based events with eaee comfort and yet the feeling of being deeply connected to and held within wild nature.
It’s available from mid April to end of September for a limited number of dates in between our own workshop program. The space is suitable for a variety of uses and designed to connect you more to nature and the magic and inspiration it brings.
Ideal for those working with animism, shamanism and earth based spirituality work, bushcraft or traditional crafts, meditation, vision quests, council, circle work, music and voice work, a birthday gathering or special occasion or hand fasting ceremony. Below is the facilities we offer. All bookings are required to visit the space first.

- Private & exclusive use eco-campsite with capacity for 40 tents & 8 campervans.
- Surrounded 360 degrees with 200,000 acres of ancient forest with free roaming access.
- 30′ Green-Oak barn with group workshop space for gathering up to 30 people.
- Chill out zone with real fire, sheepskins, benches and floor cushions for cosy days if it rains.
- Car park for 16 cars (plus more parking on the forest track)
- Large central fire pit on the main field with wooden benches all round.
- Hot showers and wash room
- Compost toilets with a panoramic view into the forest.
- A lake for swimming in and sunbathing.
- Flip chart and dimmable lighting throughout.
- Fully equipped green oak field kitchen with 6 ring catering gas cooker, larder fridge, large copper sink and 7′ slate preparing counter with ample shelving and storage below and above.
- Various large catering size cooking pots, large skittles frying pans and complete kitchen utensils for prepping and cooking meals on scale.
- Plates, cups, bowls and cutlery for up to 30 people.
- Dining table and benches for shared meals.
- A second outdoor double catering size washing up station.
- Kiln dried oak fire wood logs
- The space is an off grid venue with no mains utility plugs.
Hire cost
- Per 24 hours £800 (weekdays Monday to Thursday) – arrive 5pm – leave 5pm
- 2 day weekend – £2000 (Saturday 9am to Sunday 5pm)
- Full weekend – £2,300 (arrival 4pm Friday – leave 5pm Sunday)
