Rituals of Renewal – Weekend Immersion

May 11 @ 9:30 am - May 12 @ 4:30 pm

£150.00 – £250.00
“Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” Howard Thurman

The grief rituals we offer have different focuses. This one is for those who relate to the following questions….

~ Do you feel overwhelm & despair about what’s happening on Earth ?

~ Do you fear that ecological catastrophe is inevitable?

~ Are you convinced global financial breakdown is under way?

~ Have you lost all faith in our media, political systems and world leaders ?

~ Do you experience our social systems & structures as profoundly harmful ?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions, you are not alone.
In fact many people feel this way but feel alone in it and scared to speak about it for fear of conflict or being labelled as negativity projectors.
Maybe you have tried to share your feelings but it’s created conflict or even job loss, relationship and family breakdown. Maybe you simply fear that you will unravel into a pit of despair and never come back if you allow yourself to feel the full depth of your grief.

Are you ready to cross the threshold of despair into radical enlivenment?

Our vision for this gathering is to offer a held space for people to be held in their grief. We cannot be fully in touch with reality and enlivenment if we are unwilling or unable to feel our pain for the world as it is now. The intention is to gather inner and collective strength on many levels for the time ahead on planet earth.
We will gather on the land in a clearing in the forest with the fire and wild nature as our anchor, to help support our journey together.

No debating or heady discussions

This weekend is not a space for political debate or discussions about whether we are in collapse, or whether we will survive, or if the earth will recover or not. It is for those who already know that the planetary situation is extremely serious and highly unpredictable. This will be a heart-led space that offers a holding to allow deep grief to flow, in service to life. If you don’t relate to the questions above, we invite you to choose a different Ritual of Renewals event with a theme that you resonate with more.
We will be asking for an agreement within the circle from the start to leave reactive politics outside so we can drop deeper into the body and soul.

We will offer 3 paths of exploration

Path 1
A held and compassionate space to support each other in expressing and metabolising the grief we feel. Grief encompasses a varied range of difficult feelings, fears and intuitions about current reality that we may be keeping a lid on, avoiding, or feeling overwhelmed by,  that even our closest loved ones may not be able to hear or agree with.

Path 2
Visioning and inspiring each other into new pathways of how to live which are illuminated by our core values, to help practically navigate the coming storms together, with greater mutual resilience and resource. Our core values show us what is worthwhile no matter what.

Path 3

Stepping into deeper relationship with the mystery and spirit, as the journey of planetary evolution unfolds through us as humans; finding deeper meaning in the perpetual story of expansion and contraction, of cataclysmic collapse and regeneration, which occurs from the micro to the macro levels of scale.

The fires of Transformation

We will adventure into the wider embrace of inter-being, so that we can explore more deeply how to fully live into this story of change on Earth, with Love no matter what. By doing this we are stepping into the real fire of transformation, as the invitation from life itself is to raise our consciousness by deepening our love and gratitude for the miracle of life, whilst remaining present to the grave predicament we now find ourselves in.

This actually-occurring planetary transformation does not ask for indulgent, wishful or naive self-development or shallow spiritual by-passing, it requires a fierce and feral love that is robust enough to survive the most challenging of real-world situations – down in the trenches, not just up on the peaceful mountain tops.

It requires a constancy of Love that will carry us through to all realms of existence, fully conscious of the mortal consequences of our moment, asking how are we to go forwards from here with the deepest integrity for the soul’s evolution and the protection of all life.

Whether civilisational collapse is inevitable or already occurring or not – whatever we believe to be true – our best response is the same; to come into right-relationship with all life, enshrining the value of equity and interbeing at the centre of every living moment.

Our task is to participate in the evolution of our consciousness and to strengthen our love and gratitude so that we can evolve at a species level, not just in the mental, physical and individual realms but as conscious beings of the Love that continues, long after the physical has changed form.

An invitation into the depths of your Soul's courage

This work is deep, it takes tremendous courage and is not possible alone. It requires the support of a circle of humans to walk alongside each other, and together we can navigate so much more.

We hold a non-judgemental space and welcome all who would value some time to immerse themselves in these daunting themes.

We welcome you with open arms, to take a seat in the circle around the fire in the middle of the clearing in the forest where we can first slow down enough to be able to feel ourselves, each other and the natural world around us.

Once we have done this we can listen more deeply to the beating heart of our love by  tending to its pain and its longing, to hear its wisdom and the wisdom of the circle.

This is heart work, it is not head work and we will not be entering into debate of any kind, because the science is clear – we are already in a time of uncontrolled change. This weekend is suitable for those who relate to the questions posed at the top of the page. If you don’t relate to them we would invite you to choose a different Rituals of Renewal event.

About your guides

Matthew Painton is a Deep Adaptation facilitator and coach. For the last six years he has been working closely with fellow coaches, therapists and facilitators to co-develop skills and processes for attending to our common predicament without overwhelm or despair and with wider embraces of how we evolve.  He brings a deep and wide understanding of where we are and a passion to meet it head on with courage and commitment.

Jewels Wingfield has been facilitating workshops for nearly 30 years in the field of human evolution and animism and more-than-me enlivenment. She has trained with Joanna Macy, Sobonfu Some, Frances Weller and worked with many other inspiring teachers and she brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to the spaces she holds

“…grief is subversive, undermining our society’s quiet agreement that we will behave and be in control of our emotions. It is an act of protest that declares our refusal to live numb and small. There is something feral about grief, something essentially outside the ordained and sanctioned behaviours of our culture. Because of that, grief is necessary to the vitality of the soul’.

Transparency in how we work out what to charge

The EarthHeart project does not seek to make profit. It costs £75,000 a year to keep the project afloat (not including a wage for Jewels or facilitators) we divide these costs  between the various offerings over the year and this is how each offering is priced. We understand that some of what we offer is not accessible to some people. We have some concession tickets and this relies on people who are able, to to pay the higher price tickets.

Concessions

Below is our guidelines for selecting the concession ticket. We aim to find a balance between making the work more accessible to those in genuine need and us earning a fair living. We are a small not for profit project so we are somewhat limited in how much we can support concession, we aim to do our best. Please consider seriously if you need a concession ticket and that if you take one and don’t need it the potential impact this might have of someone more in need.
